The Mile High City

Besides Denver deciding to have a cold snap & a dusting of snow Friday morning, the city proved itself well to me. The colorful changing trees, charming lower downtown, and the cool crisp air were just some of my favorite things. My favorite, most of all, was getting a big hug and kiss from my handsome husband. We spent a lot of time just talking, walking, and snuggling, which is exactly what Derek needed after a demanding month in D.C. Between walks hand-in-hand, we ate at local hot spots, window shopped, and enjoyed just a few of the beautiful parks in the area. It was a very laid back weekend, but I don't think either of us would've changed it.

  1. That's so fun you got to spend so much time together. That's one thing about having two little kids-- you NEVER get to just snuggle and cuddle and have quiet time as a couple like that!

    1. It was perfect. Laid back and perfect! Exactly what Derek needed after 20-22 hour days in D.C. Yet...they really loved him there. So, it's all good! :) :) Plus, that row house in Capitol City sounds extra good to me!

    1. It was perfect! 5.5 weeks of not being together, all we needed were to snuggle and talk to have fun! Thankfully, that was our longest stretch of time (and it wasn't even that long compared to military wives and such). I'm flying back out to Denver in 10 days, spending a long weekend in Park City, and then we go on to San Fran, where, I will probably be spending a LOT of time! HA HA! Thanks for always leaving such cute comments..almost as cute as that baby of yours!
