Two Years

Two years ago we tied the knot.

What a wonderful two years has it been.

Happy 1 year Anniversary to my love. I can't believe we sealed the deal just a year ago. I can't wait to spend forever with Derek.

Wedding Feature

Hey Guys!

Meet Tatum. She is an up & coming wedding planner in the Phoenix, Arizona area. She contacted me and asked if she could highlight our wedding on her website. I was so excited and honored! I told her that we already had a connection because I have Tatum "blood" in me. {My mothers maiden name is Tatum} So, in honor of our anniversary approaching {3 weeks!} go and see what she wrote about our Country Club Reception. She is such a doll and loved working with her on this project!

Under Construction

A funny story about our wedding day....

We had a 7 week engagement.

The entire time, the temple was under construction.

Scaffolding all the way up on both spires.

In preparation, a family friend whipped up these.

Bride & Groom Construction hats.

We were so happy to drive up the morning of and see that most was down.

But we couldn't resist the picture.

Peak: Enjoying a fun-filled day of teaching 6th graders.

Pit: It's October 1st and I' m still in shorts & flip flops.

Our Special Day

Our special day started three weeks early with a photo shoot.

Since we were having our reception during the day, we took an evening to enjoy time together and with one of our photographers, Nathan Petty, to take our wedding photos.

Here are a few of our favorites:

Just Maui'd

We're back from Hawaii and happy to say that I can finally blog for my first time as

Mrs. Smith!

We enjoyed a week full of fun thanks to our wonderful parents in

MAUI!

We had a very strict schedule involving:

-Sleeping in

-Pool side lounging

-Playing in the ocean

-Afternoon naps

-Delish dinners at sunset

-Beautiful ocean views

-Lots and lots of sunshine

-A warm island breeze

-Getting new freckles and tan skin

-After dinner walks on the beach

-Mini photo sessions

-Hula shows

And best of all, spending time together as

Mr. & Mrs. Smith

We're Off!

Bags are packed.

The car is loaded.

We're off to San Diego for our wedding.

After our amazing day at the temple & our reception, we'll enjoy 2 nights in San Diego before jetting off to

Hawaii!

Wedding Sneak Peek

Three weeks ago we had a wedding shoot with Nathan Petty.

Derek is happy to say that he staged this photo.

He believes it's a proper foreshadowing of our marriage.

We're Engaged!

On Saturday, June 26th, 2010

Derek asked me 6 words:

"Becca Jones, will you marry me?"

And of course, I said

"YES!"

We actually had been "un-officially" engaged since last Sunday, but Saturday was the day it became official.

I love my ring.

I love my man.

I am so lucky to have Derek in my life!

I cannot wait to become Mrs. Smith!
