What's Your District?

Underwater? UNDERWATER?!?!
Ugh. At least I was able to break free of the underworld & go to college in District 7, which is famous for Lumber & Trees. Oh, but I did marry a boy from the Capitol. Say whaat?!
 Okay, so mine was yours?
{Also, anyone else finding it kinda hilarious that a corners of Nevada, Utah, and Idaho is the Capitol?}

Spring & Easter Decor

{All decor was free except the Spring banner & mini glitter eggs, which cost a total of $9.00. Both found at Target}
It's been Spring here in Arizona for about a month, and soon we will be sneaking into the 90's and welcoming our early and long summer. This past weekend house & apartment hunting in Tucson made us love our tiny apartment we already live in, and realize that it's quite large. Walking into multiple 500-600 square foot apartments made us miss our spacious 800 square feet. Upon coming home, we were welcomed in with cheery and bright Spring decor. Everything was simple, easy, and very low cost to throw together for the most welcomed season. Try a few of these in your own home, and feel free to throw open a window & feel the breeze!

Road Trip

We're on the road to Tucson this weekend to house hunt. We're hoping we find somewhere to live in for the next year while Derek spends some time at the University of Arizona Medical Center before graduation next May. Fingers crossed.

Happy Weekending!

Spring Break

One of the major benefits of teaching school are the breaks. Spring Break has always been a favorite of mine, even as a student. We would pack up and go somewhere exotic for the week, usually on of the Hawaiian islands, and have some fun & relaxing family time. The past 2 years, I have been enjoying my break here in Arizona, and it has been nothing short of fantastic. Cool mornings perfect for hikes, warm afternoons by the pool, and night baseball games make for a perfect way to relax and detox before the final stretch of the school year.
How did/do you spend your Spring Break?

Ever since meeting Derek almost 3 years ago, I have learned that March is one of his favorite months. He is a HUGE college basketball fan, and I can't complain. I have always enjoyed watching basketball, and it's probably because it's fast paced & actually a sport I understand! {Not a football fan here people. The yards just confuse the heck out of me...} Last year, we both filled out our brackets, and I am proud to say I kicked some butt! I have to hand it to Derek, his #1 team, Duke, lucked out at the final 4, and did anyone see the final 2 teams in the end?! Hoping my bracket and ESPN watching with Derek has put me in the lead again. Gotta hand it to our Blue Devils though...hoping they get to the top 8!
Game on!

February Photo Challenge Review

I tried my best, but let me tell ya, this was a CHALLENGE for me. Between twelve hour days, church callings, keeping house, and taking care of my sweet boy, I was happy when I managed to remember to take a photo. I am thinking of doing one each month...Anyone seen/heard about one for March yet?
Feel free to follow me & be my Instagram friend!
