Our sweet Eliza is One Month! She lives to eat, sleep and take baths.. she must take after her Mama! We love having her in our family and can't remember life without her. She's a great eater, loves napping in her MamaRoo, thinks her car seat and car rides are the best part of the day, and tolerates the kisses and "love pats" from Grant. She also has a little bit of a sassy attitude and we wonder where she gets THAT from.

GRANT HAND, FOOT & MOUTH
A taste of Karma was had upon our return from Hawaii. Grant came down with Hand, Foot & Mouth a few days post paradise. He actually handled it like a champion, especially for his first time being sick, since we managed to skip getting the terrible flu this year. At 15 months old, he still ran and played, but was also very snuggly and cuddly, which Mommy & Daddy both enjoyed. He lived off soft foods like yogurt, ice cream, and soft baked banana muffins for a few days, which Grant thought was wonderful! He was back to normal within a few days, but it always breaks a parents heart to see their little ones sick. Let's see if we can avoid this next Spring!

MAUI VACATION
In early March, we enjoyed a week in Maui as just the three of us! We had the best time staying at the Westin Ka'anapali Ocean Resort Villas and spending all our time at the pool and beach for seven full days. By the second day, Grant was an expert at running down the hall, waiting for the elevator, running in, and running right to the pool. He was in heaven all week. Besides the lovely weather and endless hours at the pool and beach, we dined at a few of our favorite restaurants, including Kimos in Lahina, where we were seated at the exact table we sat at during our honeymoon almost 8 years ago! We dined multiple times on Leilan'is fish tacos, nachos and Hula Pie... when on vacation, eat like it! Grant became accustomed to Pina Coladas by the pool, before his daily nap. We had a wonderful time and cannot wait to go back in a few years!
