Frat House

All the dishes & cups are packed so we're fist pumping, party rocking, throwing up peace signs for pictures, and drinking out of these bad boys.
It kinda makes me feel gross.

Birthday Boy

Derek celebrated his birthday on Friday. This was the first one since starting medical school that he wasn't in the middle of finals week and it made it that much sweeter. We celebrated at home Friday night with his requested meal of homemade lasagna & chocolate cake with fluffy white icing. Since we packed up a lot of our things for storage, we ate criss-cross-apple-sauce on the floor in the living room, which was really fun! We ended the night with opening his present box & cards from family. It was a relaxing night and just what Derek asked for!

For Our Mamas

We decided to take you back to the days of snotty noses, cute smiles, and kindergarten art projects this Mother's Day. A big thank you for putting up with us and being our Moms. We both agree that we had the best Mom's in the world. We couldn't have done it without you. Now get yourselves some chocolate, a good book, and a bubble bath.
Love you!

House Shoes

The day has come.
My poor feet finally gave out on me. My days of running around town in my cute, flat strappy sandals and coming home and not feeling it are over. Much to my avail, I have been "prescribed" house shoes & a strict nightly regimen by my cute future podiatrist husband. Thankfully, this pain isn't everyday, but teaching 12 hours on my feet means I come home to IB Profin & icing my feet. Oh, and wearing Crocs- which I SWORE I would never wear. Don't worry, these will never leave the house.....unless I am gardening.

Persistence & Humor

This talk was one of my favorites of April's General Conference. I especially love that this month is another chance to share a talk with our visiting teaching sisters. What a great way to bear testimony of something you  find inspirational, and fitting for your life. This talk is a great reminder that the Lord is mindful of us, even in our shortcomings. Thankfully, as long as we are trying, we are doing exactly what He wants. Feel free to share this printable, or these others with your sisters this month.
